Accounting

here are a few recent things i've found online that have to do with accounting...& that i found funny. hopefully you can find the humor in some of these items as well...and i promise i don't blog about accounting that frequently :)

**saw this quote on tumblr and it made me feel pretty proud of myself (even if i've only currently passed 3 of the 4 sections...)

World’s Toughest Tests and Final Exams
1. CPA - Through both word of mouth testimonials and scouring the depths of the Internet, the masses agree, the final exam to become a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is the toughest final exam one can face. In fact, slightly less than 40% of those that take the test actually pass it the first time. It’s a grueling closed book and administered test that truly separates the men from the boys.  (source)
**this link pretty much makes my day every time i reread those jokes...and the video at the end is pretty cute too

Clemson love!

saw a link to this post on another blog that i read. i love, love, LOVE this post and honestly it perfects describes my feelings. i actually did watch some of the game but that's not really what this post is about. nor is it about the comments that some people make on facebook that have been hidden by now:) i just think this explains so well why i love Clemson so much!
awesome post can be found here

oh the job search

i just realized the other day that i've been looking for a job for over a year. okay, sure i just graduated in august, but last september (2010) a lot of recruitment in my field happened for the fall of 2011. and people (including my college roommate and awesome friend) got job offers for the fall of 2011. and i did not. which was okay because i figured i had an entire year to find something and of course i would. and here we are...over a year later. (i promise no super sad posts here...but i don't really have a ton of things to blog about and maybe one day (soon) i'll look back at this post and laugh...or just remember where i was at this time)
and if i'm being honest, i'm not super-duper sad about not having a job yet. i kind of assumed that even if i got a job offer this fall, they wouldn't want me to start until january anyways. so i'm thinking come january maybe i'll be a little more sad. or maybe i'll be so busy with the cute twins that i won't even think about. (i think i've made this pretty clear but just in case, the cute twins belong here and are totally not mine)
i think that the worst part about not having a job [yet] is the whole feeling of disappointing my parents. i mean i would love to actually use my degree(s) for a little while. i think that the public accounting world could use a little bit of staci-flair. there is definitely a cubicle out there just begging for me to decorate it ;)

six months

I feel like it's somewhat fitting for me to do a 6 month retrospective post today. These past 6 months have just flown by and things have changed for me. There are also a lot of things that have turned out quite differently than I might have imagined just 6 months ago.
I've mentioned my favorite twins before but today they are six months old. But they have not really contributed to the craziness...just to the cuteness. And if I wasn't already obsessed with looking at the baby section every time I shopped, well now I certainly am. I mean I totally have a reason to buy things now. So April 13 was pretty cool because Jackson and Riggs arrived.
April 13 was also pretty important because it was the day that I sat for the first part of the CPA exam (Financial). I would later find out that I PASSED this section. I was (and still am actually) pretty proud of this. Financial was the section that I was terrified of the most and then add on that it was the first part we take, it was crazy stressful. But seeing the passing score made it all worth it. But now I have 18 months from April 13 to pass all 4 sections (I have one left currently...yay!). So it's a semi-convenient date because I have until Jackson and Riggs are exactly 18 months old to pass everything.
Back in April I was certainly expecting to have a job by now. And I don't. I feel oddly at peace with this. Maybe because I know (hope) that something is just around the corner. And that this will be the perfect job for me. Plus I've got to spend the last month with the twins, which was definitely better than any accounting job. I also would have never thought that I was going to almost not graduate. I seriously can't imagine how things would be currently if I had not made that A. But I'm so thankful that I did and graduation happened as planned.
It's so weird to no longer be in Clemson. Even when I'm hanging out in the upstate, it's odd not to be heading to campus for class all the time. But that's just life and I think 5 years was as much college as I was going to get out of my dad. That's totally okay too, it's kind of fun to not be in school.
When I think back to taking Financial, I really think that it was a blessing (for me at least, Cindy would disagree) that she ended up in the hospital the day before. I know I would have been having major panic attacks about Financial but somehow that wasn't important at all because the babies might be coming. And I was pretty excited to meet them. It's just so funny to look back and see how everything worked out. I would have never guessed when I scheduled the exam in February what all would be happening on that day. But now I'll never forget their birthday...or the day I passed Financial and really started this whole crazy CPA business.
Happy 6 month birthday Jackson and Riggs. Auntie Staci is pretty excited to finish up studying and head back to see you again. Plus, at 6 months, it's definitely time to start learning letters...and maybe colors & numbers too!

college problems

as i'm no longer in school (sniff sniff) i no longer have college problems. that doesn't mean that i don't enjoy reading through the college problems found here and laughing out loud. here are a few of my favorites

i was a business major but i definitely heard a joke (or 20) about liberal arts majors from my business professors
if you substitute the word leggings for sweatpants then yes, i have done this (disclaimer:i was spending all day in the library studying for the CPA exam)
i thought Clemson was the only college with psycho squirrels...guess not
i HATE it whenever this happened
i really just liked the grilled cheese part...reminds me of when i made a grilled cheese for amy at 2 am...when we had our first becker class ever in 6 hours...oh good time grad school :)
or ya know pinning 50 things on pinterest while in class

25 things about me

on facebook a few years ago (february 13 of 2009 to be exact) i jumped on the bandwagon and wrote a note of 25 things about me...and it recently appeared on the side of my facebook again. I really enjoyed reading them and thought I'd post them here...and add a few comments about things that have (or haven't) changed since then
(also I was in the spring of my junior year at Clemson at this time)

1. I'm easily addicted to teenage drama television shows....just to name a few: The O.C., One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl....
*i've moved along to different, but still smut, television shows. I now enjoy the real housewives of where   ever & most eligible dallas but I've upgraded and now watch How I Met your Mother, The Big Bang Theory and lots of others
2. I eat at Moe's 2-3 times a week while at Clemson but the idea of eating at Moe's while not at Clemson does not appeal to me at all.
*i don't eat at Moe's that often anymore, mostly because I'm not in Clemson. But I will always remember all the time I spent at the Moe's in Clemson
3. I'm very O.C.D. about random things.
*very true
4. I really enjoy cleaning, especially the kitchen.
*still love cleaning and honestly I'd rather just clean the kitchen myself because I'm pretty sure that your way isn't sufficient for me...
5. Black and Brown are never okay to wear together.
*duh-some things will NEVER be okay
6. There was a phase in my life where sheep were really important and if we ever sang the song 'I am a Sheep' at church I had to leave the room.
7. I love happy hour at Sonic....diet coke with cranberry is my current favorite.
*.99 drinks early in the morning were clutch with Becker and studying for the CPA exam. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have made it without Sonic!
8. I really like cooking and especially baking but I rarely eat what I bake....
*still true, i miss having groups of people to bake for
9. My closet was organized by color all throughout high school and I can't wait for larger closet so I can so that again...in fact I'm probably gonna try as soon as I get done with this.
*one of the things I'm most excited about in my new apartment (which will happen once I get a job) is organizing my closet....seriously like I can't WAIT!
10. I love Sharpies and have a jar of them on my desk...and a lot more in a box on my desk...
*my love of sharpies is still going strong
11. I've started going to the gym this year and I am really surprised that I have stuck with it for this long.
*the gym lasted until March maybe...and it hasn't started back yet...one day...maybe when I have kids to take on a walk or something
12. I'm currently obsessed with tights....my favorite pair are hot pink....
*still obsessed with tights...best thing about it getting colder is I get to pull out my box of tights
13. When the weather is nice outside and I'm walking around on campus I'm reminded of why I love Clemson...not that I ever forget...
14. I really want a tattoo but can't decide on the what and where of it....
*nope, I no longer have any desire to get a tattoo...AT ALL
15. I can't wait to get my class ring....April!
*i love wearing my Clemson ring and if I forget to wear it one day, I feel really awkward and wrong
16. I have random pieces of Rachael Ray cookware and can't wait until I can buy the entire set.
*got a complete set of cookware for undergrad graduation...and i LOVE it!!
17. I sometimes worry that I won't be able to find a job when I graduate...next May....
*I pretty much always worry that 23 year old me with a Masters won't be able to find a job....
18. I had a pretty great childhood, which I definitely did not appreciate enough at the time.
19. I love Christmas time because wrapping gifts is one of my all time favorite things to do.
*gift wrapping = love (pinterest will only make this even better!)
20. I really enjoy reading The Message Remix version of the Bible but I don't take it to church because it's hard to read out loud in class due to the way the verses are split up.
21. I have a lot of music (mostly random) in itunes that I have never listened too and probably never will....
22. I actually like school and I'll be sad when I'm done.
*i definitely needed a break after grad school but I do miss it, especially the structure
23. I use different shampoo and conditioner depending on if I'm straightening or curling my hair.
*okay doesn't everyone do this?!?
24. I think DVR might be one of the greatest inventions ever.
*obviously...and having netflix stream through the wii is also pretty clutch
25. I wrote this list out before I typed it in Facebook to make sure I included everything I wanted too and that I liked the order...O.C.D. I know...

So there you have it...now you know a little more about me. I find it amusing that all of these (except for the tattoo) are still completely true about me.  In place of the tattoo fact, I would just say that I really like sending cards in the actual US postal service. I think that people really like receiving an actual piece of mail, not just a facebook wall post.

A Letter to me at 15

{I know some of this stuff may have already been discussed on my blog…but some things are just worth repeating}

So 15 years old…high school can be a not so great time. However I know that I loved it. The classes were challenging yet fun but more importantly I had the greatest friends. Don’t ever take those friends for granted. You have no idea how much you’re going to miss them and how much they have truly impacted you.
Youth group can be a difficult trip sometimes but you’ll always be glad that you went. It’s okay for you to have different opinions than the others; it’s even okay to have a differing opinion from your youth minister. However there are probably more tactful ways to explain your side. I’d like to say you’ve gotten a little better with this but that still remains to be seen.
At 15 you have all kinds of lofty dreams and expectations for your future. AND THAT IS AWESOME. A little ambition never hurt anyone. I will say that everything you thought you wanted for your future radically changes your freshman year in college. I’m pretty sure that this happens for most people but you, of course, thought you had it all figured out already. But that’s okay; you have learned to roll with the punches a little bit more. Oh but don’t worry, you definitely still want everything to happen according to your plan. Naturally this doesn’t happen that often and the unexpected still kinda (really) bothers you.
I’d like to tell you that everything is exactly like you pictured. That’s not the case but your life is still pretty cool. You have learned a little more to trust in God’s plan, rather than your own but that’s still a pretty tough thing for you to grasp most of the time.
Sometimes you might think that it would be SO MUCH easier to just do what everyone else is doing and forget everything you know in your heart. That’s never a good idea; by the way, to go against what you truly know is right. You might have more friends if you just went with the flow but keep in mind what kind of friends they would truly be. Also remember the type of boys that are attracted to those kinds of girls. You’ll never regret saving anything for the boy you marry (I heard this somewhere and I’m just assuming that it’s true…but I honestly think it is).
I wish I could tell you that you’ve got it all figured out but you so totally do not. And as much as it upsets 15 year old you to not understand, it bothers the 23 year old you EVEN MORE.
Are there things I wish 15 year old me could do differently when she gets to college. FOR SURE. Sometimes I’m certain I made the wrong choice about college. Like if I would have just gone to Harding (or somewhere else) everything would be different. And that’s true, things would be different but that doesn’t mean they would be a better-different. So no, I’m ultimately happy that I went to Clemson. It was a great 5 years of my life and I know that no other college experience could compare to what I had at Clemson. But there are things I would do differently at Clemson. Some of them relate to sticking with accounting (turns out dad did know best) and trying really hard for an internship (turns out they do normally turn into a full-time job offer). But I would super-duper encourage involvement in a church. I totally did this for 4 years but I would do it all differently if I could go back. I wouldn’t be so stuck in the type of church I wanted to attend but rather try and find a great girls Bible study. Try and be more involved in a variety of church and bible study activities. There are some great friendships to be found in those and I SO WISH that I had taken advantage of all of those opportunities.
So enough with the minor regrets…Enjoy high school because college is different (but still great) and one day you’ll so be wishing you could go back!

C-L-E-M-S-O-N

Clemson is one of my most favorite places ever. I really am so lucky to have been able to attend Clemson for 5 years of college and receive 2 degrees from such a great university. Clemson has a beautiful campus that is a lot easier to enjoy when your not hiking up the steepest hill ever with a backpack on in 110 degree weather. Regardless, I LOVED my time at Clemson and I'm so lucky that my parents have season football tickets so I still get to experience some magic on Saturdays. I'm hoping that I'll get to attend a few baseball games this spring too. Go Tigers!!
There is something in these hills that brings together and binds together and holds together men and women of all persuasions, of all heights, sizes, weights, and cultural backgrounds - something that cuts across every difference, spans every gap, penetrates every wall - something that makes a man or a woman stand taller, feel better and say with a high pride to all within earshot, "I went to Clemson."

There's something in these hills that has touched every one of them, something that has rubbed off on them in varying degrees, something that has built within the breasts of all Clemson men and women an enduring spark akin to an eternal pride.

I have my names and I see once more the faces and feel again the beloved personalities that go with them. If you will but close your eyes and drift awhile you too will recall the names and faces and personalities of those who meant the most to you while the privilege of being among them was yours.
(above three quotes came from here)

"I love this place...I've got a spot already picked out where I want 'em to put me when I die, up there on that ole hill near the stadium. I want to be there so I can hear all them people cheering my Tigers on Saturdays. Then I won't have to go to heaven; I'll already be there." Frank Howard.
"I remember when I was coaching down at Florida, we would always lose kids in recruiting battles to Clemson. I would tell my coaches that we shouldn’t be losing kids to Clemson. Charlie Strong (his defensive coordinator at the time and now head coach at Louisville) responded ‘coach have you ever actually been to Clemson?’ I hadn’t but I’ll tell you what, I’ve been here now and I get it. This is an exceptional, special place.” -Urban Meyer after this weekend in Clemson

If you’re anything like me, you probably didn’t realize how many of these moments you took for granted until recently. Looking back, it’s strange to think about how many things I’ve become so easily accustomed to — and how many of those things won’t happen ever again. It won’t be long before the chimes from the Tillman bells no longer accompany my daily walk. Two weeks from now, it will be unacceptable to “take the day off” and spend it laying by the pool, or throwing a Frisbee, or hitting a volleyball around. Soon, Thursdays will be just another day of the week; no longer will they be spent at Loose Change celebrating the beginning of the weekend. And for the first time in four years, there won’t be those seven Saturdays this fall comprised of tailgates, The Rock, the Cadence Count or Death Valley. It’s these things — the simplest of memories — that make Clemson special. (found here)

to-do list

today I made a list of things I wanted to get done. I'm not going to lie, I've really missed making lists and getting to cross things off of those lists. I'm super excited that this list doesn't contain anything about becker or studying, so yay for that. But I do have a few cards I need to write and messages to send. I feel the need to be more organized with that and really who doesn't love a good list. Getting dressed is also on my to-do list for today. More often than not I've recently been in leggings and a t-shirt until 3 or so...and then I might change into jeans. If you know me at all, you know that's so very not Staci behavior. But I do love my leggings so it's all good...and spit-up goes much better with a t-shirt then a cute dress anyways.
the career fair and recruiter's picnic were interesting. I'm still hopeful that something awesome will come from that...preferably in the form of a job offer. I did get a cool cup that I'm pretty excited about, so at least there's always that. Exam scores should be released sometime next week possibly and that's a terrifying thought. But more on that once it actually happens.
so basically I'm probably a little too excited about my to-do list. and I'm really not even sure why I'm posting this but hey, it's what I'm doing today. Having a to-do list does make me think about all the things that I want to accomplish and I still haven't crossed off my list yet. But I'm definitely thinking that's a new blog post all in its own.

Job Search: Take 2

I really would like to blog but i don't think I have anything to say. Which, if you know me, is somewhat of a shock. I'm currently watching Teen Mom and it's a 90 minute episode but I'm pretty sure I'll be asleep before it's over. Good thing MTV will re-air this episode only a million times in the next week.
Tomorrow is the Career Fair and then the Recruiter's Picnic. I haven't really been thinking about the whole job thing because I've known that there was really very little I could do until this picnic. Now that it's here, I'm slightly panicked but I still think I should feel way more anxious and nervous than I do. But I guess that's really a blessing. Anyways the job search really, officially starts again tomorrow...and I really, really need to find a job. I definitely have my idea of what my dream {accounting} job would be (which is obviously different than my dream job, because hello who dreams of an accounting job). But, unlike my list for my future husband, I'm willing to make serious adjustments for the job hunt. I would love to stay in Greenville but I'm obviously not in a position to turn down a job offer in another city. That would just mean that I'd have to visit all the time and start over in another city, but those are both things I could do.
So yeah, tomorrow is a big day. And watching Teen Mom is making me feel a lot better about my life, but it always does that. I guess I should finalize what I'm wearing tomorrow...but I really, really need Amy for that! Guess I'll be sending her pictures so she can help me look professional and then business casual. I seriously need an accounting job where I can wear cute dresses, cardigans and ruffles to work each day.

Ch-Ch-Changes...

On Saturday August 13, I will graduate with my Master's in Accounting. And honestly, I have never been more terrified of anything (except those few days where graduation was uncertain...). Graduating last May with my undergrad was a pretty anti-climatic experience. I already knew that I would be attending grad school and extending my college experience another year. But now, there's no more school to be had and it's time to really move on. And it's that very idea of moving on that really scares me. Being the great planner that I am, I of course had a plan of what I would be doing after graduation. However I'm pretty sure that this plan is going to require a little bit of alteration, seeing as how I don't have a a job (anywhere) or someone waiting to propose. So yup, it kind of feels like I'm back at square one...or starting on plan E.
I had never planned on attending grad school. I went to my advisor (who i might have also wanted to marry...but that's another story) and he suggested a masters in accounting. I researched it a little bit and talked with my parents. They were (honestly) thrilled about this idea and since the program was only a year, they fully supported me attending. To be really honest, I only went to talk to my advisor because I didn't have any job prospects but even more importantly, I wasn't anywhere close to being engaged. And (as seriously strange as this may sound) I had always known that I would graduate college and be engaged soon after. Since that obviously wasn't going to happen, I decided I just wouldn't leave college. Enter the idea of grad school. I am truly glad that I ended up in the masters program. I was able to make some great friends and have some "real" college experiences. I also got to be around as other friends got pregnant and had babies. Overall, I had a fantastic 4 years in undergrad and an amazing fifth year to end with (a national championship would have been a nice cherry on top...).
Now I'm back to not having a job or any real direction. Not having a plan is a very uncomfortable feeling for me. Graduate school gave me a more specific career path than I had with just my undergrad degree. And I'm really okay with that career path and grateful that everyone around me seems so sure that I'll find a great job soon. But I'm obviously freaked out about not having a job and graduating so soon. And I'm pretty sure that this feeling is only compounded by the fact that I'm no where near engaged. Finding a job is something that I know will happen eventually (even if it takes a month or two longer than everyone thinks it will). It's the whole "finding the one" thing that I am whole lot less confident about. And to be really honest, it's something I want more than finding a great job. (but let's not tell my dad that one) I know that eventually both things will happen...if they are meant too. And this whole "if it's meant to happen" idea is a pretty tough pill to swallow somedays (and that's probably another post too).
So now I'm back to feeling just a little freaked out about all of my life changes. I know that everything will work out exactly how God has planned for it too. And I truly believe that it's in his plans for me to have a good job (finally make use of my degrees) and to be married someday. I know that I'm only 22 (soon-to-be 23) so most people look at me and think I really shouldn't be concerned about never getting married. But hey, I can't help how I feel.
While it may seem like I am dreading graduation, I'm actually kind of excited too...but still terrified, don't get me wrong. I'm excited to find a job and have my own place and be a real "grown-up." And in all the days leading up to company meet & greets and interviews, I have the opportunity to spend some quality time with some pretty cute babies. I also have some serious studying to do and some leisure reading that I'm quite excited about. So yeah I might be really scared but I have faith that I'm not going to be that child with two degrees who still lives in their parent's basement when they are 30...mainly because there is no basement at my parent's house :)

Recently...

So I've been a little busy with grad school and life recently but I'm back in the crafty groove now...and making some Christmas presents has had a little to do with that (more on that in another post)...and decorating my apartment little by little...

to

[to hold my embroidery thread]

[earring holder]

and lots of pretty (washed) fabric...ready to sew with!

Aside from school work and life, I've also been busy sewing gifts for baby showers...with lots more to come in the near future. I didn't get (or I forgot) to take pictures of my first gift but here's the second one. It's the only girl one I've got to do so it was fun.

All ready to go!

Goals, Lists and Life

So the first week of graduate school is over and I came away with a very intriguing assignment. I'm not sure that my professor expected for this assignment to cause me the problems that it did but oh well. The assignment is to list our one and five year goals. While there are some given goals, I feel like I have two lists of five year goals: those that are appropriate for grad school and then my real goals. My real goal list came somewhat easily to me. Of course there is some overlap between my two lists but not a lot. It was also mentioned that we would discuss our goals in class. I think this might be the part that bothers me the most. I'm not ashamed of my five year goals and those that really know me can totally understand them. I'm just not so sure that a female-dominate graduate level class can fully appreciate where I would like to be in five years. So here are my real five year goals...

*I'd want to be married to a man who is the spiritual leader of our family (and probably at least a few years older than me...but hey who knows)
*I want to have kids (this of course hinges on the marriage factor...and depends on how long I have actually been married)
*I want to have a job I love-if it's possible for me to be home with my kids I really want to be doing that. It's strange to write that because for 18 years I never wanted to stay home with my kids...but after one semester at college I realize that it's actually what I REALLY want...and yes I'm in grad school now...
*I want to be established in the community...a homeowner in a good community with a good school district and a church that I love
*I want to be involved at a church that I love-one that challenges me and makes me think but that also encourages me and provides me with great Christian fellowship
*I want to be a good influence on those around me-especially younger girls from church...I want to be involved in their lives
*I want to maintain a good relationship with my brother (and his maybe wife?!?)
*I want to have relationships in which I am truly held accountable and can be open. I obviously want to have such a relationship with my would-be husband but I also want/need this with a Christian female friend or two
*I want to be able to look back and see how God has changed me and been active in my life in the past five years. I want to be able to acknowledge and recognize why things happened and see how God was moving daily in my life.

I could continue but I feel like these goals really encompass what I would like to see in myself in five years. Of course writing out these goals makes me think about how much of my future is based on getting married. It's not explicit from just reading these goals (I hope/think) but it's pretty obvious in my mind. The thing about goals is that most of my past goals have all been things that I can accomplish on my own. I mean it might take some hard work and lots of time but I can get it done. That is certainly not the case with marriage.

I have a few female friends who are single and this topic has been popular with us recently. One friend, who has a similar church background, said something to me that made me think. We were talking about lists and things we were looking for in guys. I have pretty much determined that I'm much more likely to meet a guy who is compatible with my list at church. Does this freak the crap out of me...of course. My friend then talked about her list but ended it by saying that she is confident that she could meet him anywhere. I'm not saying that I doubt God's ability for me to meet this guy, I'm just taking a realistic approach (and trying to limit my constant thoughts about possibly meeting him)... And now this post is starting to relate a lot to my previous one. I guess the main thing I got from this conversation with my friend is that I'm not looking for this guy in every situation...and to be quite honest I'm okay with that. I know that the type of faith I'm "looking for" in a guy won't just come in someone who has been to church a few times in his life, among other things.

This is getting kind of hard to explain so I think I'll just go the way of saying that I'm trying really hard not to be judgmental with all of this...and that it does (somewhat) relate to my five year goals because by having the detailed and specific list that I have, it's (I believe) realistic to think that I'll be married and have kid(s) in five years. I really don't see myself dating someone for very long. I mean obviously this is all up to God...but I'm kind of sure that I know what I want. And it's not like I just created this list overnight. It's been an on-going process of mine for over 10 years...and yes that means I started this list in middle school but hey I'm just ahead of the curve. The list is certainly not what it was back then but by the same token all of the really important things have remained. I know that obviously when (if??) I get married is all up to God's plan for me, but I have to admit, it makes these five year goals difficult to write.

It would obviously be easier if I just knew...would not everything be easier if we just knew...
But I can plan...naturally all of my planning can be in vain but still, I can plan. And while I plan I can work on other goals and reach some goals I was unaware that I even had. More importantly, I can focus on school and my relationship with God. Those are actually the two main areas of all of my one year goals. I want to journal more and focus on my relationship with God. I am kind of floating right now in that area. I am at church and I like it but I miss the fellowship & encouragement that I've associated with church in the past. It's a really weird place to be in and I have some decisions to make. I'm worried that I'll make a decision based purely on where I feel I have the greatest chance to meet a guy. Totally not right but that doesn't make me consider it any less.

I should probably get back to writing my goals and rereading my assignments but this somehow seemed much more important. I realize that this has been a somewhat random post but it helps me to see it all written out. And hopefully one day I'll be able to look back at this and see how God has been active in my life since this post...
